Ketan Joshi | This should have been done long time ago. Thanks Scott.

Anonymous | As long as the work is being on "shifts" and overtime is not being paid, I'm all for it. It's ridiculous to have to manouever around barricades only to find that no work is currently being done.

Bruce Campbell | I am also a user of Pembina Hwy. and think that if road work was done 24 hours a day it would get done faster and and help save the enviroment.

Anonymous | I agree that the City of Winnipeg should allow evening and weekend construction to speed up construction. It would not only create more work for employees but also speed up repairs considerably.
Brad Smith | This is long overdue. Bring it on!!
Mathew Bevis |
Terry Sharman | After travelling in Dallas & Phoenix last winter and seeing road construction going on during the wee hours of the morning, I am in total agreement with your quest.
Heather Antenbring |
Don Hunter | This is a policy that is long over due. Having lived in other centers I can't understand why it wasn't implemented years ago. Keep up the good work.
gerri hewitt | Great idea. It would be nice if Wpg could be more progressive as far as traffic is concerned.
Justin | HELL YEAH
Kathy Kennedy | We need more construction and in appropriate time slots. The traffic tickets should be paying for the construction quite easily as they are given quite easily at a high volume.

Nancy Edge McKinnon | Nothing wrong with learning something from our neighbours in other cities.
Daniel Donaldson |
H | It is this kind of thinking and approach to development that will move the peg out of the dark ages. Our season is short enough, lets dot, but do it right with proper road markings and safety issues.

Anonymous | you rich pretty bitch, your soo ugly you should not think you are better then anyone else but i can tell you do
Rod Biebrich | Let's do it!
| 680 | Anonymous | Go scott!
We should be ashamed of ourselves for letting this issue remain unsolved for so long. |
Brad Janzen |
Anonymous | It's absolutely horrid! In cities like Calgary, they dont take months for construction work. They close down streets overnight and weekends. I think these construction companies are taking our government for quite the ride. The longer it takes them, the more $ they make! The government should start looking at outside quotes just to smarten these guys up! They don't have to hire outside, just force them to quit dickin around!

Anonymous | The only drawback is the loss of daylight in the fall and winter late afternoons, and so extra lighting would be needed for safety. Drivers also must respect the reduced speed limit laws, especially in poor light..
cindy tremblay | This is a great idea and is well over due!
Stefan Paszlack |
Nathan Hiebert |
Carly | I think this is smartest way of getting through construction quicker. Plus it would help when they start construction closer to winter and get it completed before the snow falls.
ray lodders | Yes I agree with you I drive for a bus company here in town and see how other cities do it we are so far behind. Example ness this year was a disgrace how long it took. And most of the time there was hardly anybody there.
Tom Molinski |
Mike Dickson | As a Wpg Transit Driver, I wholly support this petition. Get the roads fixed as soon as possible. We need to modernize the way we deal with road repair.
