611 Larry WoolleyWith the working season so short it would be logical to work extra or later hours to get caught up before the cruel bad weather arrives.

617 Keith E. HuntleyExcellent idea! As usual our fine people at city hall are realizing the benifits of this idea after the forward thinking of our neighbours to the West.

619 Richard SELCHIts about time this City got on track with its road improvements by having the road work done as soon as possible, which would probably involve working at night.

622 Barry W. PhillipsWork at night works well in other cities and minizes the impact oof street renewal on traffic during daylight hours.
623 Michael McFarlaneI think that the construction problems in our city are so outragous that whoever has been in recent charge should be fired without question. I think this idea to work 24/7 is a start in the right direction, however there are also many many other concerns that require immediate attention. For example, how does construction planning and the recursive problems effect response times for emergency vehicles. Specifically, my neighborhood only has one road that connects it to the rest of world. That road only connects to Bishop Grandin. This entrance will be under construction next year, and I am extremely concerned about it. How long will it take for an emergency vehicle to enter this neighborhood during peak traffic hours? Will someone lose their life because of this poor planning? Perhaps several people. None of this is even addressing the concerns of productivity, environmental conciderations, and just the general image of our dilapitated city! Infrastructure is now the primary concern of our city. We should not even be discussing building a new football stadium that we don't need, and many of the other moronic decisions that have been made in the last 8 years.

627 AnonymousIt's about time!!!!!!! lets get up to speed with modern society. lets also be able to catch up on our much needed road repairs. Ous season is so short we need to work at least twice as long during the construction season.

633 AnonymousWe were in New York about a year ago and there was no construction on the free-ways during the day, only after dark and traffic was no problem at all...my bus is always late now so I have to drive to my second job to ensure that I will get there on time and I don't want to do this!

637 Patricia FlawsI think it is ridiculous that road construction usually ends at 4:oo pm. When we lived in Calgary we never saw any work being done on the Deerfoot during the day, but would find work that had been done over night. The work being done on other roads was completed quickly because they worked long hours. This story about the workers working too many hours is a farce. Hire more people.

639 AnonymousI commend your efforts. More needs to be done about this matter, it is absolutely ridiculous how road costruction is occuring in Winnipeg. Any forward thinking city has adopted a evening a weekend construction schedule to get the job completed without hindering the operation of the city. The naysayers that oppose this idea should remove their head from the sand and see how other cities are doing it. It can be done, safely and efficiently, everyone else is, why can't Winnipeg?????
640 Todd WestwoodI agree, road construction should be completed as quickly as possible to end traffic congestion.

648 Matt CreightonAbout time, can you start one to obtain a freeway as well....
649 Ryan Rebenchuk
650 J. McIntyreI think the city should realize that construction should be done piece by piece not miles by miles.....Route 90 has been the worst construction are in the city!
