We, the students of Quezon City Science High School, oppose the return Dr. Zenaida P. Sadsad as principal of our school. We believe that we deserve better as primary stakeholders of the Regional Science High School for the National Capital Region. We do not want our beloved Alma Mater to be subjected again to her Marcos-style headship.

Dr. Zenaida P. Sadsad’s principalship from October 2007 to December 2009 is marked by a variety of repressive measures and questionable dealings:

1. She subjected the student body under verbal aggression during Quesci’s 41st Foundation Day Celebration (September 2008).
2. She had four students suspended in January 2009 for blogging their gripes with her policies.
3. She allegedly borrowed Php250,000 from the Parent-Teacher Association and only gave back Php200,000. The remaining Php50,000 supposedly was replenished in the form of liquidations.
4. She purportedly collected cash from non-passing applicants of QCSHS in order to facilitate their entrance to Quesci.

In light of the above, we call upon concerned officials to initiate investigations regarding the said issues. Dr. Sadsad should be prevented from being reinstated as the principal of our school until conclusive results from such investigations are released. We do not want history to repeat itself, the students of Quesci being victims to sheer abuse of power yet again.
