The purpose of this petition is to address the issue of the lack of local primary school places in Enfield in 2012; we understand that over 100 children have no place to start school this year. We demand that Enfield Council do the following:
§ increase the overall provision of places for primary school children
§ create 'bulge classes' at Walker Primary and St Monicas for this year
§ support planning permission to extend Walker school on a permanent basis
§ investigate the 'admission rule cheats'
§ redefine admission rules such that a family must remain in the local area in order for them to continue to be entitled to a sibling place at a school
