Brenda Pratt | School districts in Kentucky desparately need these funds from School-Based Administrative Claiming.
Nyoka Johnson | This program is as important to students with disabilities as FAPE. Our kids have the right to a Free Appropriate Public Education and their health needs should be given the same. It is extremely important for these services to be available, especially in a school such as the one that I am employed.
| 706 | Dee Pendygraft RN | As a school nurse in a residental program I absolutley believe in re-imbursing the school for school based medical care. Nurses spend a large part of their day meeting the medical needs of at risk students. Duties range from administration of medication to tube feedings. If these services are not available the whole concept of intergrated education despite disablilty would comprimised. The cost of supplies , tho technically is the parents responsiblity, often falls back on the school to provide. Why shouldnt we be reimbursed. If our students had to leave school, or not attend school in order to get medication, tube feedings, trachestomy care, allergy shots, wound care, they would miss critical education time.
As the population of fragile, at risk students increases so does the cost past on to schools increase. |

Ruth Sigler | Cuts such as these would create a negative impact on many children-especially those in rural areas that already need more support, not less. Please do not support these cuts. Thank you.
Gerald Lowery | This a source of money that is not ear marked from the state and can be used to help out the ever increasing special ed. cost that are soaring now. We are however, reaching more kids than ever with these added funds. Please keep it available.

SARAH VINCENT | Medicaid reimbursement has made ti possible to expand services offered to special education students that we would not otherwise be able to afford.
Mary Burch | Please do not take money away from our schools which could ultimately allow many "children to be left behind"- from Kentucky

Paula Wilson | Our students NEED this funding!!! I cannot believe the equipment, services, etc. we have been able to provide with Medicaid funds. Services for children will suffer with cuts.

Russell Anderson | This program greatly benefits us to help us serve our students with monies we would not otherwise have. Especially since Congress has failed in providing sufficient money from IDEA and NCLB, the least they could do is not cut this program. KY
| 730 | Ina Faye Price | I oppose this as we (KSD) do not receive some of the funds that other districts receive for their students. This reimbursement helps to fund greatly needed programs, materials, etc. for our students.

Leigh Burke | This program has provided much needed funds for the education of children in the Whitley County community. Please consider that, due to geography, these children do not have access to many things such as museums, art galleries, etc. These additional funds allow much needed technology expenditures thus ensuring a continuted connection to the "outside world."
Andrea Parsons | Stop cutting the funding!
Deborah Preston | As a small school district located in eastern KY we have received approximately $10,000 from reimbursements. This has allowed us to purchase items from these funds for our students that would have been otherwise been purchased with other funds that are needed for special education students. Please do not cut this very beneficial program.
Barbara Smith | These days, Medicaid reimbursement for providing therapy/transportation services is even more important than ever. Many school systems just cannot afford to provide these services on their own. For the sake of our school age kids, I oppose these cuts!
Donna Martin |
Christine M. Reigadas | Please do not cut Medicaid reimbursements for schools and for hospital services for our children. These monies need to be increased not decreased.
