| 652 | Roxanne Hunter | Medical reimbursements are a huge part of our educational monies we use to provide medical education to our children. Unless we can keep them healthy mentally, physically, emotionally, and psychologically our future will be greatly impacted.
Please as a School Nurse from California consider no cuts.
Sincerely,
Roxanne Hunter RN, MSN |

Thomas Zelten | As the director of a County Special Educaiton Cooperative, these cuts would have a significant effect on funds used to provide quality services to children with special needs.

Carolyn Logue | Administrative and transportation services are essential components of a successfull health program for our children. The provision of health services has been a collaborative effort between school districts, our community, and families. Children and youth spend the majority of their day in the school setting. Effective therapies in day programs facilitate the transfer of skills to home and community settings. Parents are involved partners. Healthy children foster healthy, productive adults. We need our youth as healthy as possible in order to be able to focus on academic achievements. Many, many parents are hard at work during the school day and cannot leave their jobs without penalty. Lack of transportation to access health services is a major concern for those in need. Services provided within the school setting assist both parents and children. It truly does take a village to raise a healthy child! It is vital for our children's futures that No Child Be Left Behind!
Philip Owen | Please no cuts.
Anonymous | Let's not cut a program that can help so many...especially children!!

Cynthia White-Piper | In school districts such as San Bernardino, CA where 84% of the students live in poverty it is imperative that schools maintain funding for programs that serve Medi-Cal eligible students.
daniel mcgregor |
Elease Fulton | These funds are necessary to continue to provide appropriate educational services to students whose medical conditions limit them in some way, which enables school districts to prepare these special students to progress toward NCLB goal of proficiency.

Lauri Hawley |
M. Catherine Griffin | Having been a government employee for almost all of the past 35 years, I can tell you this would be pennywise and tons foolish if implemented. Not to mention that the elimination of special transportation is in conflict with IDEA. Consider the effect this would have, not on school districts but, on individual children who are impoverished and/or disabled.
connie Tzovarras |
Charles | I am asking that you not make any changes to the current Medicaid support offered to schools.

| 676 | Anonymous | I strongly oppose these cuts. The schools and students are in need of this program.
Please look elsewhere for cutting the budget. Thank you. |
Joseph J. O'Hara | When the Federal government begins funding Special Education at its originally promised rate of 40%, it can then start to think about reducing the amount of Medicaid funds that local School Districts can draw down from the Medicaid program to subsidize the costs that they incur in providing health-related services to Special Education students. Until then, even thinking about such cuts is obscene.

Kathy Devlin | Florida. Public Schools in the State of Florida need every dollar available to meet the increasing demands of providing related services to students with disabilities. Medicaid funds are essential to the continuation of quality services!
Patricia Norman |
Dr. James Hilton | Basically, The public school can hardly keep up to Special ed costs.increased $1.5 million in tuitions and services within one fiscal year. Most all of the costs are for Medicaid eligible students. So, cut he obligation or fund the program to cost. Upfront cost would be even better as medicaid is essential ,but it feels like we are standing on a banana peel.
Walter Hulett | Please consider supporting Medicaid Reimbursement, it allows us to provide additional services to the poor students of Knox County.
peggy neeley | I urge you to continue the Medicaid Administration process for the schools. These funds provide much needed services for children. Our district has provided, crisis and mental health counseling, alcohol and drug, family suport and intervention. Our district is small and rural and depends on these funds to meet the health needs of our children
Constance Jenner | These funds are used to provide necessary services to special education students. PLEASE, Do not cut this program!
NormaN. Watson | Schools are communities of the students that attend them. The services provided for them is important to maintain. Please maintain what little funding there is for these vital services to identify health issues that may hinder learning.
Janice Althoff | Schools are struggling financially and students with disabilities need the services and equipment provided by these funds to become productive members of their community.

Derek J. Abraham | The fact that anyone is looking to cut funding to Special Education children in America under the "ruse" of budget cuts in a slap in the face to all of us.
Marv Roelofs | Please stop playing games with children and their health care via Medicaid and / or EPSDT.
Bonnie Byrnes |
Barbara Beck | I strongly appose these cuts!
Sonja Taylor | These Medicaid dollars help defray the cost of related services.
Ivy Waddell | Please continue the School Based Administrative Claiming program. It has helped our district tremendously. Metcalfe County, Ky
Ramona Ford | When the federal government fully funds IDEA to the level it has promised, then perhaps this program can be cut.
Michael A. Ford | I work with the Russell County School System in the great state of Kentucky. With all the financial demands placed on public education, the school based Medicaid program is one SMALL way to help recoup some money and provide MUCH needed services to some of our most fragile students.
Michael Simpson | Schools are required to provide more and more services to children at a time when budget cuts in state and federal programs are the norm. Losing this program would be a significant loss in school district's ability to provide necessary services to students.
Carol Cravens | This is a way that we can get more funds into the school to help educated the special needs.
