Dear Friends~
Students and Educators deserve security second in quality to none!  Unfortunately, instead of education being the top focus, society today demands that protecting students and teachers be of utmost concern.

We, the parents, family and community members with ties to Yadkin County, NC, pledge a united and proactive movement to help school administrators implement safety measures which will deter tragic events such as recently seen in Newton, CT.  Together, we join efforts and respectfully request an armed School Resource Officer (SRO) be hired for elementary schools in our district.  Being a rural area in NC, several schools are 20 minutes from law enforcement support.  The addition of an SRO may provide enough presence to prevent tragedy in our small community.

Please support our efforts to protect our children and those who care for, educate, guide and love them each day in the school environment by promoting and signing our petition.
