I have been staring at the traffic on Columbia Road for hours and it honestly makes my stomach turn thinking about how easily that accident happened. The council people are still dodging my emails but I am not going to let them ignore the fact that our kids are crossing this road every single day to get to school.

Its honestly overwhelming to see how much steam this is picking up lately. I spent all morning thinking about Shannon and how lucky we really were that day but now I actually feel like the council might have to listen because so many of you are behind this now.

This road is a nightmare at peak times. traffic is way to fast right by the school gates.
Poor Shannon. Unbelievable that we have to beg for basic safety for our kids.
We need a crossing asap. cant believe it took an accident to even get people talking about fixing this.
About time. That road is lethal.
I live on this road and i have seen so many near misses its just a matter of time. do something about it council!!!

My kids walk this way everyday and it scares me to death. Something needs to change before someone actually gets killed out there
