The SCC will be a multi-purpose facility built on Village owned property. The SCC will include an 8-lane pool with a separate diving area as well as a smaller warm water recreational and therapeutic pool. Also included is a fitness center with weight and aerobic equipment and multipurpose space for all types of programs from teen and kids’ classes to senior events. The annual membership fees and revenue from classes and special events will cover operating expenses. The SCC is a "community" facility, designed to appeal to the physical, intellectual, social and creative interests of a broad range of Scarsdale residents, providing a place to swim and exercise year round at a moderate fee, as well as a venue for educational and cultural activities. The SCC is designed to bring residents together in a manner that no other place in Scarsdale currently does. The diversification of the program offerings should appeal to all members of the community -- making the SCC the "indoor town center" of Scarsdale.
