   Comments: How can people be sure that pregnancy isn't ectopic, dangerous or just going as it should if waiting till 20 weeks - it's way too late. NHS trying to force people private again like with dentists

   Comments: Personally I have been lucky to get 12 week scans - last time it is a good job I did otherwise we wouldn't have known we were expecting id twins which is classed as a high risk pregnancy!

   Comments: My concern is that as more & more older women are becoming pregnant (like myself) the likelihood of genetic disorders increases. How will these be detected in time if there is no scan within certain areas until 20wks

    Comments: Scans at 12 weeks should be standard for all pregnant women - we require a consistent health service and not one that is delivered according to where you live, leaving some women at a disadvantage.

    Comments: Why cant you offer ALL women no matter where they live a 12 week scan I think it's really really bad that women have to sit and worry until 20wks just to see if there baby is alive. IT NEEDS SORTING NOW

    Comments: i think everyone should have a 12 week scan, as it puts your mind at rest that the baby is ok, and then it causes less stress for the baby

    Comments: I think it is terrible and also not safe for the mother and baby to not have at least a first scan at 12 weeks. I think in this day and age this is awful.

    Comments: My first pregnancy ended in a termination after problems detected at my 12 week scan. My local hospital does the anomally scan at 23 weeks, this is very late in cases such as mine. Everyone should have a 12 week scan.
