During the first weeks of October it became public knowledge that Pat O'Day was contemplating opening a Subway Franchise on San Juan Island. We, the undesigned, do not support bringing a Subway franchise to the islands. Opening a sandwich shop is completely acceptable and welcomed but not any typical American clone. We want to continue to honor the island by maintaining good standards of locally owned and operated food establishments, supporting local farmers and eating healthy foods in support of LOCAL businesses. Say NO, O'Day family. Hire a local chef and open a Real Friday Harbor sandwich shop.
