Name: Vinal Zegouros on Dec 19, 2009Town: grayComments: do not support this legislation. This bill has nothing to do with reforming, reducing the cost of, or otherwise making better, the existing health care system. I have always supported you, but if you vote for this, I will vote to replace you with the candidate who understands that they work for us and what we want...Not the other way around.Flag

Name: Brian Bassett on Dec 19, 2009Town: FryeburgComments: This Bill will do nothing but budren our Children, GrandChildren, and Great Grand Children. It will stifle job growth, when we need jobs now. The costs (TAXES) start now , and the benefits don't kick in until after the next election 2014 what a scam, The Congress is Supposed to work for us, now they are trying to jam this down our throats, over 2000 pages with who knows what the unintended consequences, will be, besides the 2 TRILLION DOLLAR COST. It is very easy to spend someone else's money. If congress was so concerned , why do they start small like letting us purchase Health Insurance across state lines. WE DO NOT NEED BRIBES FOR VOTES either . There is so much more. but I will stop for now as my blood pressure is rising.Flag

Name: Robert D. Levesque on Dec 19, 2009Town: South CascoComments: If either senator from Maine votes for Obamacare, I will never vote for either one ever again. This issue is too important to rush it through just to satisfy Obama's ego. This issue involves almost 20% of our economic activity as a nation. To pass such a massive life-changing law that will affect everyone in the country should have the support of a minimum of 80% of the Congress. Stop pandering to an inexperienced President who has never run an ice cream stand. Obama does not have a clue on the damage that will be done to most citizens wth the passage of this "crappy legislation" called Obamacare. Even Governor Dean, the gladiator for the Democratic party, calls the proposed Obamacare "crap." Snap out of it! ........ and firmly declare yourselves as OPPOSED TO OBAMACARE.Flag

I don't believe that the bill being presented is going to better than the care we have now. Please vote no on this and start over and do it right. This will be the biggest burden that we have ever had and will not improve health care.Flag

Name: Cynthia Rosen on Dec 19, 2009Town: WashingtonComments: The reforms being considered also trespass upon our 4th Amendment requiring access to information about our private health care choices. My health care is my business. How I afford my care, how I pay for my care, who I pay are all pieces of my private choices that I should not be compelled to consent to releasing through threats of fines, fees, taxes or penalties. I am not committing a crime by not releasing this information. Again, my 4th Amendment secures me from unwarranted search and seizure. My private choices are mine and mine alone.Flag

Name: Cheryl H. Russell on Dec 19, 2009Town: ChesterComments: While health insurance is a critical issue for all Americans, we cannot afford this program. If we look close to home, Dirigo Insurance here in Maine is a failure. Reform should include open competition. I should be able to purchase my health insurance the way I purchase my auto and homeowners insurance, competitively and from insurers in other states. I should be able to purchase just the coverage I want and not be forced to pay for mandated coverage. I respectfully urge you to vote no. Thank you.Flag
