The Global Fast Food Giant McDoanlds, has applied for resource consent to the Lakes Environmental to place a 159 seater Restaurant and Drive thru, at the Entrance to Queenstown, neighbouring the Mobil station, on Frankton Road. Several matters raise concerns: 1 .Functionality and Safety of the Road Users of Frankton Road, in an already congested area. 2. Safety of Pedestrians and cyclists frequently using the foot path in front of the proposed site. 3. Litter that is associated with this Fast food Giant 4. Noise in relation to Traffic, from the voice box ordering system, the fume extraction units and the impact on the residential neighbours. 5. Hours of operation 24 hours - show me a commercial business in Queenstown with residential neighbours having a 24 hour license. 6. Dramatic impact on the Sensitive Gateway to Queenstown. Clinton Farley, New Zealand5 years ago Comments: No to McDonalds - they only want to have a second store to compete with Burger Kings first store. They have no place in our community for a second store. The traffic and noise issue is also a major concern.
