Forestdale Primary School is a small local community school normally admitting 1 class (30 pupils) per year. The proposal is to expand the school to two-form entry over a period of years so that by 2019 the school would have an extra 210 pupils in total, effectively doubling the size of the school.
Please sign this petition appealing to the Cabinet Member and Executive Director for Children, Schools and Learning to reconsider the proposed expansion and keep the school as it is.
In summary, doubling the size of Forestdale Primary School will directly impact the local community and environment including the disruption of on-going construction
work. There will be more noise. It will take away
green space. There will be more traffic and less parking (of which there is already a huge problem) and more pollution.

Strongly against! There is not a need in the local area, which has been proved, so why ruin our lovely school to be a dumping ground for children from all over the borough! As a concerned resident overlooking the school, I have serious environmental, traffic and parking concerns. I also feel our children in the school will be the ones to suffer in the long run, along with the quality of life in the immediate community.

I am opposed to the 2 form entry for Forestdale as there simply isnt enough space. The parking is not enough, the hall and dining hall is too small and the close feel of the school will be lost.

Will completely destroy the community feel of the area as this is the reason we chose forestdale and the school!!!
