Comments: The agent can easily verify the photograph likeness of the document owner via Skype and conduct live questions if needed. In 2012 you don't need to make a family drive 5 hours to see you.

Comments: This is not a good decision. I hope they will bring a representative from the Israeli Consulate in Toronto once every two-three months to verify the documents that already signed by a notary public and then the documents will be sent to Toronto to continue the process.

Comments: This new process is arbitrary and very harsh. The consulate puts up a stonewall and says: These are the rules.

Comments: This is one more way in which having an Israeli citizenship has become a liability rather than a privilege. The only reason we keep our Israeli passports is since it is mandatory for entry and exit to Israel. The cost of keeping those current (so far we have done this on our visits to Israel) also adds up with absolutely no value to me when the time comes we'll just have to give up our citizenship.

Comments: These new regulations don't make any sense and they don't bring into considerations the distances that are involved, not to mention cost and inconvenience. Please rethink this.
