is workfare what it says it is? ha! i don't think so. there's nothing fare about having to go to work to earn your jsa. that's less than the minimum wage, ( if you do 40 hours a week plus ). ian duncan smith says if people don't comply to this they they will lose there jsa. sounds like forced labour to me, and forced labour was abolished in 1957. (check it out online. the abolition of forced labour 1957). forced labour was abolished so the people that have, woudn't be able to exploit the havenots! if they were to offer poeple full payed wages for a work placement, 'm pretty sure the majority of them would be pleased about it. instead, the work provider gets a fee for every person they find a placement for, and the bosses of the company's get free labour. sounds like everyone's on a winner there except the jobseeker. how on earth is that going to lift a persons self asteem, self confidence. if anything it would demoralise the individual. so please sign this petition if you feel the same as i do. lets get this stopped!!!
