UCR 'Protest Guidelines Task Force' composition revealed under pressure from students

On Dec 12 Tim White announced his plan to form a task force to review, revise and (one day later) rewrite the 'Protest Guidelines'. The members of the task force will be selected by invitation. He did not detail the process and composition of the task force.

After rounds of inquiries and emails to the university administration, the composition was revealed to a student 'for the sake of transparency', quoting Cynthia R Giorgio, Assistant Chancellor.

The composition:

· 4 students: two graduate and two undergraduate (reps from ASUCR and GSA, an “occupy” participant, and a student active in the petition effort)
· 4 faculty members (the chair of the Senate, a rep from Faculty Welfare, one active in the petition effort, and another who wrote the chancellor early on to express concern)
· 2 staff members (one staff assembly, one represented employee)
· 2 deans
· 2 vice chancellors
· 2 UCPD
· 1 strategic communications
· 1 labor relations
· Provost
· Associate chancellor
· Chancellor (chair)
