Say no to the smaller iPhone dock connector. It's useless. Imagine how ugly it will look to place an adapter between your new iPhone and your old dock, if possible at all. Think about the car and plane companies that have to upgrade there i-connectors. You are not going to carry an adapter around all the time, are you? They might even choose a different standard now Apple seems to drop the 30 pin connector.
