Stop the government from adding more days on to Ohio's school year. The Ohio government is already having trouble paying teacher's to do their jobs properly and even providing the students with the supplies they need, not to mention the over crowding in classrooms. To reccommend extra school days to each year is ridiculous. The children who care enough to be in school and work hard deserve a break at the end of the year. They deserve a break to be children and enjoy their summer, not to mention just getting away from all the stresses school can bring, such as bullying and the disruption of the kids who do not want to learn. Ohio schools get three days in the winter to shut down due to bad weather conditions. Ohio's government thinks by adding eighteen to twenty extra days that it would give each school a chance to have five winter days to shut down if needed instead of three. How does eighteen to twenty more days make sense when they only really need to add two extra snow days to the school year, as well as two extra days to make up for the school hours missed from the bad weather. These children need their summer vacation and they deserve it. Let's stand up for our children and make a change.
