Whats wrong with the new ID cards ? 1. It contains a chip - like a GPS - which enables someone somewhere to track your movements at all times. 2. The Biometric Photos will be stored in a database. So if you go to political rally - someone somewhere may compare your normal photo to the biometric one. Thus that someone somewhere will know who you are and whom you support. Bad news for Civil Servants ! 3. Youngsters going to private clubs. Bad news for you too. Catch you on CCTV, match your photo with the database, and then we know where you went and with whom you were ! 4. The Fingerprints will be stored too. Not for just a finger. But for ALL your fingers. Now imagine I throw a chewing-gum paper at your door-step. Then later that very night - a crime happens in your house. The Criminal has been wearing gloves. He is untraceable. I become a SUSPECT because there is my fingerprint on the chewing-gum paper !!! 5. The information on the new ID Card will be shared at some point- It might be with banks or recruitment centres. So the Bank or your future employee will know your movements, your past movements, which clubs you visit or have visited, and imagine the consequences if you have an incurable disease !!! 6. Each time you change STATUS, you will have to get your card modified. Marry- Divorce - Marry Again - Single Again because your spouse died - become a Senior Citizen. So queue-up all the times to have your card modified - just because your status changed! It is nothing but a waste of time! 7. You will have to carry your card at all times. Because the new laws say anyone might be asking you for it at anytime. So it will be inconvenient to leave it at home. The risk of losing the card is high. But the problem is you will have to pay to obtain a new one! 8. We are being imposed a Rs 100 000 fine + imprisonment if we do not have them. I cannot understand why this law is that harsh. A special thought to the SDFs. They are bound to lose their ID. And they do not have money, so they will fill up the prisons !Say NO to ID Card
