We are saying NO to the Town of Islip granting a special building permit to Kabro Associates LLC (PB2013-38 0500-472.00-03.00-001.000) for the Southwest corner of Eaton Lane & Montauk Hwy (S.R. 27A), 460 Montauk Highway, West Islip). This will increase traffic flow in our already congested small community. In addition, there are already a multitude of medical suites in our area, as well as two drive thru banks in this centralized location. Adding more of already existing businesses will not only add to the traffic problems but will continue to chip away at the beautification of our community. We are strongly opposed to having additional buildings, businesses, and parking lots added to this location, particularly within the intersections noted. We are hereby requesting that this special building permit not be granted to Kabro Associates LLC. We urge the Town of Islip to please help homeowners protect our community so we may continue to enjoy the quaint comforts of the Sequams Colony, and avoid mass building production on undisturbed lands in our area.
