They should ask the bus companies to reduce their expenditures. Examine the number of upper management staff which I suspect is too many. Cut the number and wages to a more realistic level. There is no reason why the CEO should be paid more than a million. $500,000 per annum should be more than adequate. Cut wastage on useless projects like the bus arrival time display. Examine the necessity of buying expensive branded bus, I noticed that private bus company mostly use cheaper buses from china. There should be many ways to cut cost to paid the drivers a reasonable wage. Finally cut profit which is excessive. The profit margin should not be pegged to the current market price but to NTA.
