Comments: Such a bad idea. Always the middle class people that suffer. Why work and try to own your own home? Must be better ways to raise money than this.

Comments: There are easier ways that the states could save money rather than to victimise the hard working middle class that already contribute a huge amount to the local economy! First stop their constant use of expensive consultants and do their own job which they get paid to do. I realise they use consultants to remove themselves from accountability from poor decisions but at present we have poor decisions coupled to expensive consultant fees.

Comments: The young need all the help they can get in their struggle to own their own home and raise a family, they are the future of our island community and should be encouraged in every way possible.

Comments: The ones making this proposal have all enjoyed MIR when they were buying. Increasing personal allowance to offset is rubbish as it is going to increase the cost per year of someone with a mortgage of £350K an extra £2500. they would need a personal tax allowance increase of £12500 to offset this. When the States spend millions on overspends and off Island consultants plus general wastage and pandering to the wasters and their own ends its hardly a welcome lift for the working population trying to make their own way in life.
