Name: Anonymous on Nov 28, 2012Comments: Ridiculous idea!!!!!!. It's hard enough (and very expensive) to get onto the property ladder anyway over here (I know as I've just personally done it). The tax relief can make all the difference when buying a property. Would you rather us all live in wasted rented accommodations or states housing then make something of ourselves?! Whoever thought this stupid idea up is obviously minted and does not have the money struggles we have!Flag

I am a single parent trying to keep it all together and I am proud to own my own home (my childrens' home). I know of people in states houses who go to Turkey every year on holiday. We will never go, but at least we own our home.Flag

I work school hours .If mortgage relief was taken away, we wouldn't be able to manage. Once again the ones who are trying to help themselves are being penalised. Disgraceful!!Flag

Name: Julie Corbin on Dec 4, 2012Comments: Like many lower - mid earners we can only afford our mortgage due to tax relief. We started our mortgage 12 years ago, 13 years left, without tax relief we may have to try saving on utility and food bills just to get by. I think the proposal is poorly thought out, repercussions will be wide spread.Flag
