Dear APHOA member,

You should have received a letter from me on Friday this week or tomorrow, Saturday October 1, along with a notice from The Town of Springfield regarding a request for a Conditional Use Permit by Harold & Betty Spahn at 4996 Enchanted Valley Rd, Sec 31 (Lot 31) allowing for unlimited animal units. Not only do Mr. and Mrs. Harold Spahn own hundreds of acres of farmland in Dane County on which to place their animals, they signed the Autumn Pond plat which allows for only 1 large animal per acre on Lot 31. As you may know, Lot 31 was conceived and intended for use as a hobby farm only. It is up to us to protect common properties within the Autumn Pond neighborhood as well as the investment we have all made in our homes. Some of you are closer to Lot 31 than others, however I encourage everyone to join me at the meeting as a show of unity for your neighbors and to stand up for the neighborhood that we've all worked hard to create. The Town Plan Commission and Town Board need to understand they represent all town residents and property owners, not just those involved in agriculture. Please take a moment to sign this petition. Include your address and lot number in the comments section, along with any concerns you wish to express. I will bring the list of everyone's signature to the meeting with me on Monday. I hope to see you all there!

Sincerely,

Joe Kuhn
