Why should you care about what goes on in other parts of the world? This is something we ask ourselves on a daily basis and when we come across different petitions for various causes we tend to ignore it; we shouldn't. Truth is everyone around the world has a connection, so it's time to take a stand and support Women Right's in Afghanistan. While you are able to do whatever you want, women in Afghanistan are constantly hiding and fighting for survival. Women in Afghanistan: -are constantly being attacked by abuse, threats, sexual harassment, honor killings and rapes -are not allowed in the public without a male blood relative -denied education, employment, freedom of movement and political participation and representation - have no say in marriage -forced to get married -have no say in divorce -trapped in their marriages Sadly, Afghan women & girls resort to suicide to put themselves out of misery. But if we all get together and help the women in Afghanistan we can save many lives. We all can help change Afghanistan's laws and enforce strict punishment against anyone who provokes violence against discriminated minority( especially afghan traditionalist.)To help protect these women we need to start by teaching the men right from wrong, their "traditional" ways should not be viewed as traditions but as crime against human rights. There will be meetings for everyone to propose different ideas in these locations around the world: Canada: 1234 Kane Street, Toronto,Ontario L6R 1P6 (416)-778-9876 55 Lin Avenue, Vancouver, BC V6E 1M3 (289)-988-7788 United States: 789 Court, New York, NY 10118-3299 (555)-890-9087 Australia: 8879 Jenn St, Sydney, Australia +61-234-789-8899 "There cannot be national security without women's security: there can be no peace when women's lives are fraught with violence, when our children can't go to schools and when we cannot step on the streets for fear of acid attacks."- Mary Akrami, Director of afghan women skills development centre
