I just spent a few weeks in San Deigo visiting family and got a graphic look at what happens to a city when there are no real limits on growth. Name: Carrie Kirkpatrick on Jun 4, 2010Comments: i grew up on bainbridge. a small, quaint town with a lot to offer. unfortunately, many have seen what is has to offer and have drastically exploited its charm to make housing developments, more commercial space, etc. we love bainbridge island because it is different than seattle. it's a separate rural escape from the stresses of city life. we love it because it is unique, relaxed, and natural. my parents and i moved here when i turned one year old and it has always been such a wonderful place to grow up surrounded by nature and a great community -- up until this point. winslow and bainbridge are morphing into what we were/are moving away from. keep bainbridge and winslow the same old, small town and forget the building-up. no more apartments and cookie-cutter neighborhoods!! keep bainbridge and winslow small!!!!! i can't emphasize this enough.Do you believe that there must be an Island-wide vote on Winslow Tomorrow: YesFlag
