Name: Jimmy Cooper on Jul 9, 2007Comments: Closing Wild Rivers is a terrible business idea. The housing market in Southern California is set to crash any day now. The houses that are planned to be built on the site will have a hard time selling. Clsoing the park will just drive tourist business further north to Anaheim, especially when Disney opens their waterpark within the next 5-10 years. Irvine offers nothing to offer tourists other than a marignally exciting shopping mall. Without Wild Rivers, Irvine will be relegated to a pitstop on the way to better tourist activities.What is your favorite ride at Wild Rivers: The rapids ride is the ebst one at any water park in the state. That ride alone is reason enough to visit.Flag
