Imagine waking up in the morning without Christian music that nurtures you and provides hope and encouragement during the day. This radio ministry is heard in the nationâs capital area and via the internet all over the world. Many of our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan are even listening on the battlefield! Peopleâs souls are saved each day through the music and programs of WGTS. It has been a tool to the pastors.
There is the possibility of silencing this Christian ministry by selling WGTS to the highest bidder for a short term financial gain by the parent company. This self-supporting radio station has faithfully raised surplus during its annual fund-raising for its Christian ministry and has not been a source of expense for the parent company.
The proposal by the Board of Directors of WGTS has been rejected. The highest bidder is from a non-Christian source. This will mean the end of the finest Christian radio station in the Washington , DC area. The opportunity to share the gospel through this powerful medium will be gone. It will be a very sad day for Christians, not only for adults but for the thousands of CHILDREN who love and listen to WGTS!!
IMMEDIATE ACTION is needed by you to save this station!
Please join with me in saving this station â there is still time. The parent company, Columbia Union College , will meet on September 20 to finalize their decision. As of now, they plan to sell it to the highest bidder, even though the second highest bidder is a Christian company!!

Pray for donors to come forward and provide the money needed (over 20 million dollars!!!) to allow WGTS to continue with its current programming.
