Solitary is a reality show on Fox Reality Channel whose contestants are kept in solitary confinement. It is the channel's first original serieswhich debutted on May 29, 2006. In this extremely unique reality television show contestants are placed in solitary confinement pods as a social experiment cut off from the outside worldwhere they must undergo torturous challenges and experimentsdesigned to push them to their extreme limits both physically and mentally at the "hands" of a dominant, nurturingand sadisticsuper computer named Val. The contestants aka Solitarians compete for a large cash prize. Those who can't tolerate Solitary musthit the red button in their pods and if they are the first to quit an experiment by hitting this button theyare eliminated and must leave Solitary.There is no other show like it on television. Problem is that the Fox Reality Channel is going off the air in March and this show needs a new home or Val's red button will be hit permanently and Solitary will leave the airwaves forever. Show your support for this show and sign the petition indicating that you would like to see Solitary continue on another network. A world without Solitary and Val seems illogical. The social experiments must continue.
