Wave the tax of the Young Arts Market(YAM)

We are sending formal request to the Parksville City Council, for the permissive tax exemption of the Young Arts Market(fondly refered to as the Yam). We have been fortunate enough to have owners renting us the space for no more than what they pay: the tax of the building. Unfortunately this is still alot and becoming more than we can afford. We are asking for all of your signatures to show how many the YAM effects, and how sorely it's absence would be felt. This will go aloooong way to convincing the powers that be that it is not just an allowance to cut our costs by waving the tax, but an investment in the community. For those of you who don't know who we are, read the following; For those of you who do, skip to the end of this and sign the bloody thing. We are a Youth creative center that provides a place to develop ones connection with art, and feel connected and accepted by creative brothers and sisters. We showcase art free of charge of for anyone who wants to display their works. We also put on a number of activities, essentially acting as a youth drop in center.
