Petition to Stay the Expulsion from the Marines of Lance Corporal Michael D. Wales The story of LCpl. Michael Wales is one of which we all need to heed. This could easily happen to any US Soldier. After failing a single urine test out of well over one hundred taken over a ten year span and in the absence of any other supporting evidence, former Sgt. Michael D. Wales is about to be drummed out of our beloved Marine Corps and forever beyond the reach of “The Brotherhood” we were assured would be there for us in times such as these. LCpl. Wales has steadfastly maintained his innocence since day one and has passed an independent yet stringent Polygraph test (attached) taken of his own accord after being denied access by the military, to this highly effective and oft employed technology. He was also denied requests by his appointed counsel to testify on his own behalf and have the testimony of several Marines waiting in the wings to come to his defense considered at his court martial. If you feel the case of a fellow Marine with ten years enlistment time and two tours of duty in Iraq deserves another look before we allow him to suffer this grievous injustice, please sign this petition to immediately have his case reopened and allow him his day in court. Remember, Marines are taught to fight injustice everywhere we find it.
