   Comments: It's a gem from the period that built Cardiff. Modern Cardiff works because old has been imaginatively juxtaposed with new. Making a feature of the Vulcan would stop the road becoming just another same-old-same-old shopping shit-tip.

    Comments: Superb pub, with excellent Brains beers. What are they doing to preserve a litle bit of Cardiff history. I'm not local, but my colleague showed me (and we drank in) pubs like the Old Customs House before they too were demolished.

    Comments: It is depressing that the developers of the area around this handsome and sound piece of local history cannot come up with a brief or an architect who can incorporate it. The quite execrable quality of the new buildings around it (or around the wasteland of car parks) certainly gives little hope the loss will be repaid by anything anything like as good.
