I am honestly stunned to see so many people care about this spot as much as I do. We are getting very near the hundred signature mark and I really think reaching that milestone would help us show how deep the support for our skaters truly runs.

Seriously? There are way bigger problems in this city than kids on skateboards. Let them enjoy the park.
DONT LOCK IT UP. Keep it open for everyone.
My brother used to go there every weekend. It never hurt anyone and it gives the area so much character. Don't kick them out.
people have been skating there forever. its part of the culture of the park and it keeps kids out of trouble. leave it alone.
Total joke. They have been there for twenty years and now its suddenly a problem?? Let them skate.

The spots are iconic. You cant just erase history like that. Flushing Meadows wouldnt be the same without the skaters.
