The Unisphere has been a center of skate culture for over 20 years. It should be open for skateboarding as it has been for over 2 decades, keeping a healthy, active center to Flushing Meadows.
I am honestly stunned to see so many people care about this spot as much as I do. We are getting very near the hundred signature mark and I really think reaching that milestone would help us show how deep the support for our skaters truly runs.

The spots are iconic. You cant just erase history like that. Flushing Meadows wouldnt be the same without the skaters.

Seriously? There are way bigger problems in this city than kids on skateboards. Let them enjoy the park.

My brother used to go there every weekend. It never hurt anyone and it gives the area so much character. Don't kick them out.
