We the undersigned are strongly opposed to the destruction of the Swift River Dam. We believe the present owners the Belchertown Land Trust has already decided to drain this magnificent, pristine river no matter what funding is offered. We are strongly urging the BLT, our senators, representatives, and congressman to all help us in stopping the BLT from draining this river, and stop all decisions by the BLT until we can have enough time to raise funds for repair and maintaince of the dam. We are asking for more time to raise funds, and ask the BLT to not move forward with any plans to drain it at this time.
