SAVE THE STOLEN VALOR ACT OF 2005

Denver Judge Blackburn's decision to declare the Stolen Valor Act of 2005 unconstitutional is a slap in the face to every veteran. The Pueblo County Veterans' Counsel on behalf of all veterans have started a write in campaign demanding that this decision be overturned on appeal. Pueblo is known as the "Home of the Heroes" with four Medal of Honor Recepients so we take this Judge's decision personally. Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. By signing this petition we can let the Judge know the error in his judgement.

Anyone claiming to have been in the military and can not back it up should face large fines and extended jail time to stop others from thinking it's no big deal to lie about being a veteran.

4 years ago Comments: The decision to declare the Stolen Valor Act unconstitutional is to say that lying and fraud are acceptable behaviors. Does the judge accept those behaviors in his courtroom? I take serious offense at the judges decision and believe it disregards the need for character as a personal trait in all men.
