Comments: The Star Tribune serves the community by reporting on the lives of those who live here. It shines a light on government activities that many would rather keep secret. It provides the tools for readers to improve their schools, their businesses and their spiritual lives. It is a mirror. If it goes away, part of us all slips away.

Comments: If we lose our newspaper, we lose one of the last remaining true checks on our government. We can not let our newspaper die "like huge moths," as Bradbury said.

Comments: Our community must have in-depth stories written by professional journalists — every day. No matter how the newspaper is delivered — print or digital — we need to recognize and support the 300+ Star Tribune journalists who research, write and bring us the news every day.

Comments: The daily paper records the pulse and life of any community, and the StarTribune is essential to the Twin Cities in that purpose. Having newsprint in my blood since delivering the Cleveland Plain Dealer beginning in the 4th grade, an actual, physical newspaper is a daily *requirement* for me.
