| 308 | Elizabeth Whalley | In the early 80's I studied etching with Roslyn Schwartzmann for several years. That teaching was the best printmaking instruction I got (and I have since studied at Concordia as well as at Parsons and Brooklyn College in New York). I have also taught printmaking at Brooklyn College and Haverford College and Roslyn's lesson were the ones I referenced when teaching etching. I am currently Visiting Faculty at Pratt Institute and Adelphi University in New York. The visual arts program at SBC has provided a valuable service to the art community in Montreal. |

| 316 | Edward Levinson | Why is this being done? |
| 317 | Talleen Hacikyan | Having taught at the Saidye Bronfman School of Fine Arts for almost ten years, I have seen firsthand what an important and necessary cultural institution this is for the Montreal community. It fills the gap between university art programs and artist-run studios.
The Youth Institute is also a gem. Under the caring and knowledgeable guidance of teachers, budding young artists are given the chance to create art in an inspriring and professional atmosphere. There is no other place like it in the city. |
| 318 | David Joseph | How can you destroy a noble institution without appropriate notice? Having thrived for 40 years, does't the School of Fine Arts deserve a fair opportunity to flourish under a caring, involved directorate? This unfair closing is an embarrassment to our community. |

| 320 | Jennifer Laoun-Rubenstein | By closing the Saidye Bronfman Centre School of Fine Arts and the Youth Institute, we are essentially shutting down an entire community as well as a place where this community can gather to share ideas, teach, learn and grow. What good can possibly come from depriving the greater Montreal community of such a positive influence? |

| 328 | Celina Segal | It's a disgrace that a cultural institution like the Saidye Bronman Centre should be shut down because of a lack of funding. Or is it the leadership that's lacking? |

| 335 | Barry Lazar | This is a community organization that has not communicated with the community it serves but simply let a few people make key decisions and left those in the community outside the process. Of course there were problems. Why not involve those who have worked with the SBC and participated for decades? The way the decisions were made is reprehensible as if all those who had worked at the SBC for years and participated in courses and activities were irrelevant. For Shame. |

| 337 | Irwin Browns | As one of the founding members of the SBC, starting with a hole in the ground in 1967, I object to the closing of the fine arts department, which is one the best in the city and whose facilities are state of the art.

| 346 | Mark Abley | I'm deeply saddened and very puzzled by the board's shortsighted decision, and I hope the board will now have the humility and wisdom to realize it has made a serious mistake. |
