| 202 | martha demers | Way to go Fletch, I agree that the Fine Arts are important to us all and having a place to nurture it is mandatory. Will do anything to help you out. |

| 206 | Ilania Abileah | Art Lovers and artists in Montreal should not be deprived of the art school and exhibit space that has been part of the Montreal cultural scene for so long. We do not have enough qualified art schools and exhibit space. |

| 210 | Marty Fisher | It is deplorable that today one see thos trend from autocrats taking decisions it their own interest and NOT that of the community. Such a venerated community art centre should be celebrating it's 40th anniversary...... not contemplating it's demise.
Unfortunately, the people best placed to stop this carnage are elderly now and perhaps not up to the fight to stop the abandonment of arts education to theatrical pursuits. (The new flavour of the month) |

| 214 | Marie-Josée Ménard | It is a great place to expose and the only place I know to print my photos outside of school. It is a gorgeous setting and very warm to show a play. I don't see why you would try to ruin it... |

| 227 | Anonymous | Why are the ARTS always the first to go? The ARTS are not a luxury item - they're a necessity. This sounds more like the US than Canada ... |

It would be short-sighted to close down a school that has had a lasting influence on artists across the country. |
| 241 | Madeleine Sauvé | The Saidye's Visual Arts Programming for the Montreal Community is unparalelled in Canada! If there is a way to salvage any part of the Arts Institute please, please do so!! When I was a grad. student at Concordia I taught part-time at the Art Centre and the faculty and staff influenced me in ways that I am still grateful for! There is magic happening at the Saidye's Art Centre that is a jewel of Montreal community and the arts! |

| 247 | Wayne MacNaughton | I'm an ex-patriate Montrealer, currntly living in Halifax and hoping to move back home to Montreal soon. Montreal's vibrant visual arts scene is one of its many attributes and this school is central to that. |
| 248 | edith rey | Why are you fixing something that ain't broke? This institution is much beloved in Montreal. Its impact is immeasurable. Reconsider this disasterous move. |
