Barry Gross | I treasure the painting classes I take there as well as the plays. To lose this gem would be a terrible loss.
Avrum Dunsky | A great loss to the city's cultural richness.

ginny stikeman | It's a shame to end such a fine school with such great teachers and facilities....it will be greatly missed.
Gary Epton | My son has greatly benefited from youth services provided by the Saidye Bronfman Centre and so have legions of other youths. This institution is a vibrant and important part of the fabric of the city of Montreal. It would be a tremendous loss and an absolute disgrace if the Centre were to close its doors.

Loretta MacKinnon | To me this is a tragedy. It is very important to keep this centre open!
Marilyn Olding | I hope that this centre is an important place for all Montrealers. It should be kept open
kathleen girard | I've been part of the SB since 2001. I've seen many changes, many people come and go and go and go. Unfortunetly, I predicted this turn of events 2 years ago during my 20 moths as photo dept head. No one fought for us then... who will fight now? I've been told in the past that the Theatre is not profitable, but it has a benefactor. Who will be ours?

Bertha Shenker | The notion that there are other places that serve the fine arts community are completely false. There is only one other school in the city and suburbs, and community centres simply do not offer the same comprehensive programs or serve the same clientele. The reason enrolment had dropped at Saidye is because it was at an all time high in the 90's, and without extra input (or any input, for that matter) enrolment could only go down , as it had really peaked substantially. Even so, the student body was still self-sustaining. Now these people really have nowhere else to go, because no other program offers the same level of artistic pursuit.
Noreen Mallory | I taught in the Fine Arts department of the Bronfman centre for l7 years. Although I now live in Toronto and am out of the Montreal teaching circuit I am crushed to know that this school offering such unusual variety and freedom in its' scope both to teachers and students will be blasted out of existance. An institution of such originality should never be made redundant.
G. Scott MacLeod | Good initiative Stewart, it is up to the artists now to save the arts.
