| 1655 | Marilyn Rubenstein | I have been have been teaching at the Saidye Bronfman Centre's School of Fine Arts for 33 years
I have taught both children and adults.I was also a student before that.I know first hand how important
the school has been to so many people! How is it possible to ignore the community's great love and need for this unique institution? |

| 1659 | Gerda Marschall | We need more Saidye Bronfman Centres for the Art and not closures! |
| 1660 | rick stoller | I built up a portfolio at the Saiyde which helped me get into Concordia for a BFA. I am now going for my MA. Without the Saidye I wouldn't have been able. |
| 1661 | Merle Kronick | I took many art courses there & also calligraphy courses. We need it to STAY!!!! |

| 1665 | Susan Berger | I have taken classes at the Saidye since 1964 when I arrived in Montreal. My pasttime became fulltime when I entered Concordia's fine arts programme for my BFA. The loss of the Saidye would be personal loss for I continue to take classes .The loss for the community is unmeasurable. |

| 1674 | Elka Birnbaum | Although not living in Montreal, I was born there and have very fond memories of the the Saidye Bronfman Centre. It is a cultural and youth mainstay in Montreal and losing it would be an incredibly sad event for so many reasons. |
| 1675 | Ronda Diamond | I have been going to the Saidye for 8 years.
I love it and know for certain that it's absence in the community will be huge. It is a great place where people
from all walks of life find themselves sharing commmon interests all under the auspices of the
Jewish community.

| 1681 | yolande boulanger | management have left this incredible school on its own ! Think of it as something that needs to be reorganised not decimated. A good solid progamm. Consolidate the actions in fine arts and forget about arts and crafts.Think of complete, special short programm to create interest. Good teachers (so far most of them are). Students that are in classes according to their level so learning process will not be altered. Beginner's class should be for beginners not just anyone to fill up the space. 1 week ateliers of all kinds (allways in fine arts) to create interest and attract new students. Exchanges with other schools such as Boston, New York, L.A.More public relations and interaction with the galeries. Exhibition of class work with "votes" on various aspect to create animation in the school
allow for short full programm
So many things could be done to relaunch this school. Ideas are not missing. Faith is the secret
I was director of a fashion school with 500 students 35 teachersf, 2 distinct programms, for 12 years.
I know it can be done.

| 1688 | Anonymous | Wonderful school, why are you closing it. More artists thank Marilyn Rubenstein for her classes, and now have become accomplished artist.
Rethink this intolerable thing you are doing!

| 1697 | Stephen Aber | It was with shock and hooror that I heard about the closing of the SBC. As a student of the centre I learned the fine techniques of etching and painting with the finest world class teachers namely Swartzman and Chaki.
How this decision was made astonishes me.
Keep it open and reverse the decision |
| 1698 | Alan J. Suitor | The Bronfman family are a significant factor in the history of Canada and Montreal in particular. over the generations they have employed thousaands of people. In addition, they have always stepped up to the plate with philanthrophy activity. It would be almost criminal and a huge loss to the residence of Quebec should the Saidye Bronfman Centre close. |

| 1700 | Anonymous | I feel that this move has not been openly discussed especially by the artistic community. Both venues can certainly co-exist without destroying what L'Ecole des beaux-arts has built over forty years. |
