Save the High School Pool!

507 Signatures Goal: 1,000

In a rural desert community with extreme summer heat and many natural and agricultural water hazards, it is imperative that there be a clean safe place for the people of the Palo Verde Valley to learn to swim, recreate, exercise and cool off! The PVHS pool is the one and only such facility available to the entire community and to close it forever is unconscionable! Over the years the pool has been used by students and teachers of the district, but also by the children of the valley for swimming lessons, the swim team, college classes, by law enforcement for the purposes of training staff safely, adult fitness programs, parties, the city

This petition is sponsored by Teresa Reale Houston, who grew up playing at the pool, learned to swim at this pool, participated in the swim team there, held her first job there, first met her husband there and hopes to take her children there for swimming lessons and swim team, as well!
