The New York City Department of Parks and Recreation has decided to end the summer and year-round early childhood programs at five parks in Queens. These Playschools have been in operation for fifty years. The communities need these programs. They are affordable, keep our children safe and happy, and prepare them for school. The friendships we have made from these programs have lasted for years. Please help us keep the summer and year-round early childhood programs at city parks in Queens operating.

Toddlers from the nearby neighborhood attend the Newtown Preschool in Queens, because it is a great place for them to learn before attending Kindergarten. My daughter has learned so much in the last 8 months. If the local governments need to save money, cut out the wastage in other programs, and save the Preschools.
