Name: Ruth Wartenberg on Sep 1, 2007Comments: I have a 12 year old pitbull who is the light of my life. She loves children and is an affectionate companion. I live in Providence Rhode Island, which requires that pitbulls be insured. This insurance is an unfair financial burden. My dog would never hurt anyone.Flag

We should control the government and not be afraid of what the government could do to it's masters. Don't be confused the issue is not animal control, it's people control.Flag

Name: Tommy Carroll on Sep 2, 2007Comments: my son-in-law has several pitbull dogs and puppies.he breeds them for sale.these dogs will know you down trying to lick you and get you to play with them BUT have NEVER acted aggressive me nor toward my grandsons 7 and 5.there are dogs of every breed that from time to time go off and bite people..to single out pitbulls is not fair to them nor to the people who handle them in the manner my son-in-law does..i guess if they're treated badly and taught to be aggressive they will be..just like police dogs.Flag

Name: Elizabeth Rafail on Sep 14, 2007Comments: My pitty is the most loving dog I have ever had. She is such a sweetheart. People always ask what breed she is and when I say Pitt they act surprised. I wonder if they have ever met a pit before or just judge the breed on what they read. These sweet dogs get so much bad press but the writers fail to give us numbers. If the paper says "there were 4 attacks last year along" out of how many pit bulls and how many other dog attacks were there I find shitzus and other small dogs to be much more agressive at the dog park. My "vicious" pitt bull was bit by little dogs on several occassions and she has walked away or laid down in a submissive position. What a bad-ass!!!!Flag

Name: Kendra Nault on Aug 14, 2008Comments: I am a trainer and Behaviorist and I help to get pit bulls adopted out by volunteering my time at shelters. I also own 2 pits myself, both have NO AGGRESSION in them. I have not seen them display it or even come close to it. I take them everywhere with me and try and show people that responsible owners can share these dogs. They are my life......DON'T PUNISH THE BREED PUNISH THE DEED. The media calls it pit mixes. check out www.understand-a-bull.com...see if you can pick the Pitbull out.....if you are one to get rid of this breed check how many times it takes you to get the right dog.....26 commonly mistaken breeds...if you fail the challenge maybe you should re-evaluate the situation...because your not the only one who failed to see.Flag
