Name: Simone Spencer on Jan 25, 2011Comments: Please keep the rangers. I have witnessed first hand the magnificent and positive contribution they make not only to the parks but also to the wider community. I can't help but feel that it would be very short sighted to get rid of them for purely financial savings.Flag

Name: Nick Stuart on Jan 26, 2011Comments: One of the issues for Lambeth is that have failed to address incompetence issues within staff and budget shortfalls are being addressed by producing bleeding stumps. The Rangers are one of the success stories for Lambeth why not start looking at failing areas first.Flag

Name: Susy Hogarth on Jan 30, 2011Comments: the rangers are a great resource for all the parks in lambeth - they help with all the community activities and are a welcome presence in Brockwell Park. Sometimes it may not be obvious that they are as busy as they are - as they are work in some many green spaces but as a FoBP - we know how willing they are to support the community.Flag

Name: Charlotte on Jan 31, 2011Comments: More than Happy to sign this Petition and I will encourage more. I appreciate the Current Financial Climate encourages Cuts, but Cutting the Lambeth Park Ranger Service completely is ridiculous & illogical . The Lambeth Park Rangers help and deal with environmental & health & safety issues - Authorities should not be making cuts in these areas- or at least that's what Westminster collectively promises??? We should continue to preserve our parks and green land as its fading and deteriorating quickly, don't be a catalyst for this in Lambeth!Flag

Name: Yvonne Levy on Jan 31, 2011Comments: We do not want our parks to become no-go areas for law-abiding people. We need rangers to keep our parks safe for everyone. In the "olden days" we had park keepers. Then there was a dreadful hiatus when parks were run down and neglected and women were advised not to go to parks alone! The rangers have restored confidence and made parks accessible to everyone again. We need to keep them.Flag
