Comments: It's ridiculous how many cuts the board is making these days. Obviously, someone up there in the financial field has no clue what they're doing. If they cut music, then they cut a crucial creative outlet for every student in the OCDSB.

Comments: Although the art programs dont seem nessisary they are important to kids all around the world. They help shape our futures and find our interests. They also help out with many other subjects, learning balance in art makes it seem easy to balance chemical equations in chemistry. Please consider how much these art programs meen to us

Comments: I honestly cannot even believe this is a question. Music is such an integral part of education, and is what develops young minds! And to rid the schools of Physical Education - that is simply another step to the degenerating society we live in that has so many inactive and obese children.

Comments: Participating in the music department in my high school was a hugely important part of my musical education, giving me the sort of experience you just can't get from piano and theory lessons. The things I learned in it have continued to be of importance to me throughout my Bachelors of Music degree at McGill. I would hate for this experience to not be available to others in the future.

Comments: To those in charge of cutting music, I suggest going to a school and just observing a music program; a band, a class, whatever. Just watch, and see what it means to each person, how they enjoy it. How it's something that allows expression, talent, somewhere where people feel a part of something.

Comments: My son has enjoyed being in the band at South Carleton High School and is also in the music class. He has enjoyed playing the Clarinet for the past four years and looks forward to his band practices. DON"T Take the music away! The music department is a crucial part of learning patience and team spirit. To take it away just shows how little people understand the need to express themselves!Thank You for listening.

Comments: I learned how to read music before I learned how to read. I KNOW it improves you academically. Please don't cut out the music programs just because they're expensive. They're worth the cost.
