| 51 | HUW | SPICER | Canadians need and deserve a proactive MNR. If fishing/hunting Licence money were to go toward Environmental issues and not into a multi use pot the MNR would have teeth. We paid, therefore why should other branches of government benifit? |
| 52 | Tom | Chopin | Keep license money for the MNR! |
| 53 | Raymond | Attard | The MNR protects and manages our wildlife for future generations of Anglers & Hunters Who are your best conservationists. Don't break the back of the Ministry that protects this provinces most valuable resources |
| 54 | Joe | Mazza | We need to stop thinking about the present and start thinking about the future! Everything begins with the health of our natural environment. |
| 55 | Anonymous | Anonymous | Pleae stop the bleeding of our natural resources and the fleeceing of the sportsmen's pockets for other use in other ministry's. |
| 56 | Adelino | Rego | It's about time MNR funding is kept at a level that allows it to keep up with programs to ensure our natural resources are looked after for generations to come. |
| 57 | dana | frauzel | They stop poaching, and much more.
Stop cutting the budget for them
and lets get a grip on our
fisheries...before its too late. |
| 58 | John | Cowles | Stop cutting where funds are needed. Let's build our great resources not cut them. |
| 59 | Derek | Strub | Save our fish and wildlife for the future! |
| 60 | Doug | Ferguson | This is absolutely ridiculous, who is going to protect OUR natural resources. Local municipalities certainly won’t have the mandate to step up, maybe they would if the dollars we as anglers and hunters pay. Just another Government miss management, there is not one elected official who has the balls to step up and say this is wrong, regardless of what they say they will do for US during election campaigns.
Maybe a vigilantly group is order to maintain OUR natural resources... yea that would fly! |
| 61 | Maurice | Tremblay | This is critical and I still remember when we started paying for fishing permits that all this money was going to be put directly back into our fisheries and it has not. Protect and help our fisheries grow. Don't let it die! |
| 62 | Chris | Petre | Where's the funding? Is my Fishing licences funds going back into the MNR and if not why not. |
| 63 | Guilles | Brousseau | Provide adequate funding |
| 64 | Scott | Andrews | We have to preserve our wildlife and forest. These are the guys responsible for that. We take them for granted, and their value needs to be recognized. |
| 65 | Anonymous | Anonymous | Stop the cuts & increase the funding |
| 66 | Rick | Lamothe | Our natural resources are being victimized and depleted due to a lack of funding, political will and support. Violations are being treated with distain as is evidenced by the minimal fines imposed. The abuse and disregard for our natural resources has to stop NOW. |
| 67 | Bill | Garrett | This is long overdue. |
| 68 | Gary | Lawrence | Saving our environment is more important than tax breaks to the rich! |
| 69 | Amber | Parnell | Some things are simply just too important to be cutting funding. |
| 70 | Grace | Sampat | protect the environment. Restore the funding. |
| 71 | Patrick | Morris | quit your BS'ing, impotent politcal bafflegab, posturing, and do something. Look to Quebec if you need answers to make our outdoors sustainable and profitable for hunters, fishermen, and outfitters. Selling our farm and woodlands to developers to rape is destroying our province. Nobody needs a 5 thousand sq. ft. house 100km from their workplace. NOBODY! Get a grip pal! |
| 72 | Anonymous | Anonymous | Park staff are way under paid but the premier can give himself a 40 thousand dollar pay raise. Stop selling us out or step down. |
| 73 | Kevin | Sullivan | As yet my MPP Dalton McGuinty has not responded to my email on the Ontario Auditor General's Report.
All Ontarians have to know that our wildlife is a key in what this province stands for and protection of these renewable resources such as moose, bear , fur bearing animals etc. is mandatory for any Ontario Government.
Thanks; Kevin Sullivan Ottawa South |
| 74 | Dave | Pearce | MNR needs money for true stewardship activities, including forestry, fish and wildlife monitoring land use planning, enforcement and education. The need for these functions have never been greater. |
| 75 | Sivagnanam | Sritharan | There are well qualified environmental graduates to enforce compliance with legislations. Funding is NOT an excuse. Many resources are wasted by POLITICIANS and some BUREAUCRATS. |
| 76 | Mark | Avola-Lyons | The shape of the MNR is a disgrace. Hands down the worst slap in the face to our future generations. |
| 77 | Andrew | Tapp | Makes little sense in making laws if you won't spend the money onpeople to enforce them! |
| 78 | Joseph | Mazza | Its a disgrace that in such a well developed country such as Canada, our environmental issues are pushed to the side...We need to step back and re-evaluate our priorities... |
| 79 | Barry | Wiffen | We need more C.O.s to enforce the law! The amount of poaching and law breaking is outragous. Please make our fees count
Barry |
| 80 | Anonymous | Anonymous | We as anglers pay because it is the right thing to do, and it helps our fisheries!! its people who are poaching who have no regard for our concerns!! maybe they should take a better look at what there doing!! boaters use the waters and other things . like nets in front of our rivers!!!!maybe if they were adressed things might change!! |
| 81 | Randy | Lei | This doesn't really cost a lot of money, but we get a lot out of vast nature of this wonderful province. |
| 82 | H. | Harrington | Hopefully our elected ministers will take some notice upon the state of our natural resources and increase budgets to allow proper law enforecement. |
| 83 | Paul | Moore | Our resources are in a sad state of affairs. It is a shame when natural resources takes a back seat to others when it is an indicator of how well are efforts are proceeding in other areas. |
| 84 | Rick | Sedlezky | More funding needed for M.N.R enforcement and strengthening of programs. |
| 85 | paul | kirby | put our licensing fees into the resource and match funds
35 million bucks
stop putting our fees into your general ledger
Thanks! |
| 86 | YAWN | PILCH | Get people out checking licences you'll make tons of money if you actually get out there! |
| 87 | Przemek | Zalinski | Stop the Mismanegement of our Resources. |
| 88 | Kevin | Izzard | its a sad day when our government cannot protect our wildlife future, time to smarten up and listen,,,get the CO out there he really does care and ur revenue will go up !! |
| 89 | Michael | Chappell | I endorse this petition |
| 90 | Grant | McAllister | This has to happen now!!! |
| 91 | brandon | desantis | we need full funding for the hatchery |
| 92 | Paul | Polko | Our natural resources need to be managed and protected from damaging influences, and over harvesting. If it even means that fishing licenses have to go up, I would gladly pay double. I have, in the past, called to report over-harvesting of out of season fish (s-m-bass) only to find out that the Cons. officer didn't have time to return my call for 2 weeks. PLEASE stop the illegal activity that threatens to do away with our fisheries altogether. |
| 93 | Damian | Garbacz | Proper management of natural resources is important to me and future Generations of Canadians so all can enjoy the outdoors sports such as hunting and fishing we need MNR to ensure that future generations can enjoy the pristine wilderness of Ontario this is a vital and very important government ministry |
| 94 | Anonymous | Anonymous | our natural resourses are being destroyed because everyone knows they won't get caught.increased funding is the only way the MNR will be able to continue to do their jobs effectively . |
| 95 | peter | thomas | and we need more conservation officiers |
| 96 | Mark | Ledoux | Thank you for putting together a great website to warn the public of the MNR's budget cuts and the overall situation at the MNR. I am currently studying in Montreal to become a CO in Ontario, but at the moment, the prospect of employment with the MNR is looking particularly grim.
Thanks again |
| 97 | John Carlo | Rabbito | lets work together to ensure that the next generation can enjoy this great province and country! |
| 98 | Michael | Evans | especially now when the environment is of utmost concern, funding is cut? |
| 99 | Rod | Everson | i only wish there were more...of you guy,s out there |
