Name: Annette McCann on Dec 14, 2007Comments: My Dad was the resident musical director at the King's for years and has a plaque in the foyer in his memory. I myself worked there in the 70's. Other than that, how come it's under threat when you can't get a seat at the Panto I couldn't get any last year, and I can't get any this year, despite having tried to book in September! Most companies would kill for that sort of success! So what's going onFlag

Name: Ewen Miller on Dec 14, 2007Comments: I think we're seeing a disturbing trend here with Edinburgh Council - greenlighting dubious projects such as Caltongate and Quartermile, where the heritage values of Edinburgh that have been so carefully maintained for so long are now under threat, and at the same time allowing buildings such as the King's Theatre to be run down, making them easy pickings for some developer after a cheap site to turn into flats or knock down. If we want to preserve the city's unique architectural beauty, we need to fight these short-sighted decisions.Flag
