| 101 | Karen Stow | As more people are being referred to other therapists outside of the NHS surgeries, then I feel that it is dutiful that places such as the Homeopathic Hospital should continue to be upheld and supported |

| 103 | Anonymous | HOW can NHS stop homoeopathic treatments because they are claimed to be ineffective? So many people come to homoeopathy because mainstream medicine has failed them, if this hospital closes they will be thrown back into mainstream waiting lists with little chance of help.
Additionally, whereas many new medicines released for use are recalled within a few months because of horrendous complications or side effects, the homoeopathic remedies have been proven by use over many years to be without side effects. Indeed, as there is nothing physically present of the original substance in homoeopathic medicines other than the energy signature, then there is nothing to cause harm. If, as the scientists claim, the remedies are merely working because of a placebo effect then that is brilliant too; a fraction of the cost of allopathic medicines and no harm can come from them. However, I do not believe their effectiveness is merely as placebo.
Homoeopathic medicines are not tested on animals; this can only be good.
They are not putting £100's of profit into the pockets of multi global pharmaceutical companies. |
| 104 | MARIAN DAVIES | How can NHS justify closing the H/Hospital when the remedies used are sooo much cheaper than allopathic medicines? Not only that, they are not harmful in any way, wherease allopathic medicines are frequently pulled off the shelves soon after launch because they are so harmful. If homoeopathic remedies are only working on the placebo effect then that is brilliant too as it is still a damn sight cheaper than allopathic medicine. However, I do not believe that this is why it works. I believe that just because there is no measureable evidence that it works or not does not mean to say that this proves the case, it simply indicates that scientists have not yet found a way to measure the effects! |

| 106 | philippa watkins | My children three of whom are now in their 20s have had homoeopathic medicine all their lives and have not once had the need for allopathic drugs.
I am astounded at the attacks rained on the professionals who work in the homoeopathic hospitals. The doctors and nurses have had the same medical training as any other doctor or nurse - they merely choose to use homoeopathic medicines rather than allopathic. Whilst there is no scientific evidence that how homoepathic medicines work, there are hundreds of volumes of texts of observed cases that have been cured by homoeopathy. The majority of these have been written over the past 250 by properly trained doctors and more recently by lay homoeopaths covering. There is no such long-term observational evidence of the efficacy of allopathic drugs. |

We need to promote health, not just try to tackle dis-ease when it has already established itself.
This also makes economic sense. |
| 128 | Sue Wharton | We ahave a right to have whatever treatment we wish and to say it is not effective is total nonsense. Who are they being paid by I wonder? |

| 145 | Anonymous | Why close the hospital when it is helping so many people. Complemntary therapy is expensive, therefore people who are receving it at the moment may not be able to afford it if you close the hospital. |

| 147 | Kulwant Saxena | Homeopathy is better way of treating chronic diseases, safer medicine for children and old people, less expensive. If govt. is really concerned about the good health of his people, then , pl. think again. Already there are enough disasters in health services in nhs. donot increase it by closing down homeopathic hospitals such as this hospital. |

| 150 | eilish lawlee | Dear Sir/Madam,
It has been brought to my attention that you wish to stop funding for the homeopathic Hospital in kent. I wish to express my wish that you continue to fund homeopathy in the NHS.
As a clinical nurse specialist I see every day patients being prescribed medicine with the majority of the patients returning later complaining of the side effects with which we prescribe them more drugs to help balance the effects. This is more often than not a vicious cycle with the patients taking a range of drugs because there is nothing else currently that we can safely turn to to help us.
If there were more hospitals like yours people would be able to be offered a choice. I know that I would like the choice to try out a safe natural remedy first before being filled with drugs that I know have all got at least 5 side effects, ( if you pick up a bnf and read any drug it will be proven out).
Also in this era the drive of the nhs is that people are being offered choice however by you refusing to fund this hospital you are reducing or removing in certain areas that choice.
Thanking you |
