Save the Heart of White Hart Lane !

615 Signatures Goal: 1,000

Richmond-on-Thames Council has refused to listen to the views and concerns of local residents and done nothing to stop the go-ahead for the development of flats and a large retail outlet at the top of White Hart Lane. This is despite a record number of objections lodged by local people and businesses, on the grounds of increased congestion, increased parking problems and the impact on local traders. If you believe that local councils should represent local people, not anonymous developers, make your voice heard. Sign our petition.

The White Hart Action Group is a fancy name for a small, loosely associated group of local residents who refuse to accept that the concerns and fears of local people matter less than the wishes of anonymous developers, whose only interest is in making money, regardless of the damage they do to a pleasant and friendly neighbourhood. We will continue to fight this unwanted over-development until the council listens to the people who elected them and considers other, more suitable ways, of developing this land.
